Cropping images

1) Emphasize part of the image to allow it to dominate the hierarchy.

Original

Cropped - To make the lamp the main focus of the photograph, I removed the other clutter and distractions surrounding it. Could even be cropped further if needed.

2) Change the composition and add dynamic movement by moving the subject out of dead center.

Original

Cropped - To make the picture more interesting, I cropped it so that we don't see exactly the full candle.

3) Change the orientation by making a horizontal aspect image into a vertical aspect image.

Original

Cropped - I was able to make this image vertical using the crop tool and cutting away the sides

4) Change the compostion so it reflects "The Rule of Thirds".

Original

Cropped - The picture has a better composition when keeping in mind rule of thirds.

5) Change the perspective of an image; take an exaggerated perspective photo and make it "straight" again.

Original

Cropped - The picture now looks as if I had taken the photo straight

Removed the window frame with spot healing brush
